Systemwide Library Planning provides strategic leadership
and support for strategic planning for the long-term sustainable growth
of the University of California's library collections and services, consistent
with the "One University, One Library" concept of shared resources,
programs, services, and planning.
Responsibilities include:
- Formulating plans, strategies and justifications for
library operating and capital budgets, and supporting the University's
annual budget process for the library program.
- Developing, maintaining, and publishing management
and statistical information about the UC Libraries.
- Developing and maintaining plans, policies, and strategies
for the UC Libraries.
- Providing oversight, monitoring, and coordination for
Universitywide library programs and operations, including the Regional
Library Facilities.
- Providing staff leadership and support for the Systemwide
Library and Scholarly Information Advisory Committee (SLASIAC),
the Shared
Library Facilities Board and various standing and ad hoc committees.
