Objectives for this Meeting

    1. Review and advise on the recommendations and underlying assumptions of the "Scholarly Communication" strategy set forth by the Advisory Task Force; is this consensus still valid?
    2. Advise on the development of:
      1. overall strategies and tactics to establish UC leadership in Scholarly Communication
      2. means of informing, educating, and building consensus among UC faculty
    3. Identify immediate steps that can be taken to move the strategy forward and suggest UC resources (faculty, departments and units, research programs) that might be enlisted in support.
    4. Review the status of the Library Budget Initiative and advise on contingent strategies.
