Objectives for this Meeting
- Review and advise on the recommendations and underlying assumptions of the "Scholarly Communication" strategy set forth by the Advisory Task Force; is this consensus still valid?
- Advise on the development of:
- overall strategies and tactics to establish UC leadership in Scholarly Communication
- means of informing, educating, and building consensus among UC faculty
- Identify immediate steps that can be taken to move the strategy forward and suggest UC resources (faculty, departments and units, research programs) that might be enlisted in support.
- Review the status of the Library Budget Initiative and advise on contingent strategies.
