3. Libraries

The information collected in tables 3a and 3b will be used in the preparation of the 2008-09 Governor's Budget. It will assist in articulating resource requirements and reporting the workload information of the University's libraries.

There were some changes to the forms last year, so make sure you have the new forms 3a and 3b. The changes were:

  • The section for library materials was separated into "current serials" and "other library materials." Please provide budget and expenditure data for current serials.
  • FTE data will not be collected from the campuses.
  • The workload and circulation data previously collected on form 3c will now be collected with the rest of the library statistics.

As usual, UC Berkeley and UCLA are requested to prepare separate forms for Northern/Southern Regional Library Facilities apart from general library budget.

Table 3a: Library Expenditures - 2007-08 Budgeted Funds:
This table is to reflect the July 1, 2007 Adjusted Budget as reported in the final run of the BSC2305 (or equivalent).

Table 3b: Library Expenditures- 2006-07 Actual Expenditures of Budgeted and Nonbudgeted Funds:
The source for this table is the final run of the campus equivalent of the BD 110, i.e., actual expenditures for budgeted/nonbudgeted funds.

Both tables are due on October 5, 2007.
