To: Librarians Who Report Statistics
As you are aware, the Office of Systemwide Library Planning is implementing
several changes as part of a two-phase
plan to revise and update the statistics collection processes conducted
annually.
Changes for the 2006-07 collection cycle are:
- Revision of Schedule B.
- Addition of a new form ("Schedule F") to collect data on
serials and digital resources.
- Change in definition of current serials and serials data collection
temporarily moved from Schedule A to the new Schedule F.
Changes for the 2005-06 collection cycle were:
- The addition of a fifth form, Schedule E, to report workload and other
service-based information. (Some of this information was previously
collected on the Budget Form 3c.)
- The "Serials" category was divided into "serials purchased"
and "serials not purchased" on the collections survey (Schedule
A) and materials by building location (Schedule D).
All forms,
instructions, and related material for reporting library statistics, budget
and expenditure data applicable to the 2006-2007 fiscal year may be found

Instructions
and forms have changed. Please download and use this year's materials:
- ScheduleX
(Microsoft Excel) A brief form requesting current volumes and serials
received. Due August 24.
- Schedules
A-E Reporting form templates (Microsoft Excel). Five spreadsheet
templates in a single Excel workbook. Please download and save the spreadsheets
to your local computer, complete them, and return them as email attachments
to Joanne Miller (Joanne.Miller@ucop.edu).
The schedule for submission is provided below. Note:
